Trip to Bangkok
12 March 2016 - 17 March 2016
Had a short trip to Bangkok, main aim being makan and shopping. And to expose the 2 children again, since their last 10 years ago.
Took a evening flight, reaching BKK at about 8:35 pm. and we reached the hotel (centrepoint pratunam) at 9:30 pm.
The hotel had 2 double bed, with a small kitchen, ideal for 4 pax, 2A 2C.
We left for dinner immediately. Dinner was just downstairs, a short walk away.
Had the famous grill fish. It was really fresh, at 400baht, not really cheap.
Dessert was coconut ice-cream.
Next morning, we went to have the famous wanton noodle at pratunam. We had tried this on the last trip. Not that it exceptional, just that its a must try, and that the children would have something that looks and taste like singapore.
This has been a famous stall in many blog from singaporean.
Only thing noticably different is possibly the crab meat that they have on top. Also had the braise pork from the same restaurant.
Next stop, chatuchak Market - to experience the heat and all because she wants to buy some shorts.
This seem to be the in-thing during these times - leather stuff, with free name-tag.
Note the tempature!
Some of the food that we had. At Paragon foodcourt:
At Terminal 21 foodcourt:
And of course, tea at:
Make a trip to Asiatique. If you going, do be early to beat the crowd. We reach the ferry terminal at about 4:30 pm.
A comparison of us now and the last visit.
Friends also introduce the GreyHound Cafe, at Discovery Cafe and another sister restaurant, Another Hound restaurant, at Paragon.
Other than the cheese and Ham sandwiches, the rest was so so.
At Paragon:
Also had buffet at MK steamboat restaurant at CentralWorld.
One other touristy thing that we did - SIAM NIRAMIT
Seen the one at Phuket years ago. It was much better than this.
On the way back to hotel, stopped along the roadside opposite Bereley Hotel. It turns out to be the best meal for the entire trip.
We also try the foodcourt at Platinum:
Overall, a good trip.
